Account information: Name, email address, and profile photo (via Google Auth or email signup).

Resume data: Resumes, cover letters, career history, skills, education, and knowledge bank entries you create or upload.

Job data: Job listings you track, apply to, or save for reference.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns — collected anonymously to improve the product.

Payment data: Processed securely by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. We do not store credit card or payment credentials on our servers.

To provide and improve the resume builder, AI suggestions, and automated application features.

To personalize your experience and save your work across sessions.

To process payments, fulfill subscription entitlements, and prevent abuse.

To communicate with you about account changes, security alerts, or support requests.

To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We believe in transparent, minimal data storage. We do not sell user data, deploy third-party advertising cookies, or engage in cross-site tracking.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share data solely with trusted service providers essential to operating the platform:

Firebase (Google Cloud) — User authentication, database, and encrypted storage
Paddle.com — Merchant of Record, payment processing, tax compliance, and invoicing
Upstash Redis — Rate limiting and fast caching
Sentry — Error monitoring and diagnostic reporting
AI Providers (Groq / OpenRouter) — Resume analysis and keyword optimization (data is processed ephemerally with zero model training)

All subprocessors are contractually bound by data protection agreements adhering to GDPR and modern privacy standards.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Regardless of your geographic location, you have the following privacy rights:

Right of Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: Edit or correct your information at any time in your profile.
Right to Erasure: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated resumes and data.
Right to Data Portability: Export your resumes and profile data in PDF and JSON formats.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Opt out of communications or delete your account at any time.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain your data only for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal information is permanently purged from our primary database.

We enforce strict TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, token validation, and rate limiting across all endpoints.
